How to view your Dashboard

Open your Dashboard, move between Dashboards if you have more than one, and pull current data through. This is the page where Reports built for you are displayed.

Before you begin

You need a Lens account with Dashboard access. Reports appear here because a Lens Designer made them available to you. You don’t add them yourself.

The Dashboard displays Reports; it doesn’t build them. Nothing you do here changes a Report for anyone else.

Steps

Step 1. Open the Dashboard

Sign in to Lens. The Dashboard is where you land.

Step 2. Move between Dashboards

If more than one Dashboard is available to you, switch using the navigation at the top of the page. It appears as tabs, a dropdown, or buttons depending on your display setting.

One Dashboard is set to open first. That’s configured per Report by your Designer, not by you.

Step 3. Refresh for current data

Click Refresh in the three-dot menu in the top-right corner. This re-runs the Reports against their data sources and replaces what’s on screen with current values.

Refresh affects only what you’re looking at now. Files already in your Inbox keep the data they had when they were generated as they’re snapshots, not live views.

Result

You can see the Reports available to you, move between Dashboards, and pull current data through whenever you need it.

Common issues

  1. Reports are in an odd order. Order is set per Report by your Lens Designer. Ask them to adjust it.
  2. Refresh didn’t change anything. The underlying data hasn’t changed since it last loaded. If you’re confident it should have, ask your Designer when the source last updated.
  3. The Dashboard is slow to load. Dashboards with many Reports take longer, particularly after a refresh. If it’s consistently slow, mention it to your Designer and they may be able to simplify what’s on the page.
  4. I only have one Dashboard and no navigation. That’s normal. The Dashboard navigation only appears when more than one is available to you.
