How to connect your data?
This guide helps you connect external data sources (such as Excel, Smartsheet, Tally, Databricks, JIRA, Salesforce, etc.) and connectors (such as AWS, Azure, Google Sheets, Redshift, Databricks, Salesforce, OpenAI LLM etc.) by entering the required connection details based on the selected source type.
Data Source Management
Before you begin
Ensure you have the following information:
- Data Source Type
- Valid Connection Details
- Valid Authentication Details
Step‑by‑Step: Connect Data
Step 1: Log In
- Open the application in your browser and open the datanyx portal.
- Log in using your credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to Datasource Management
- Select Datasource.
- Go to Datasource Management.
Step 3: Data Connection
- Click Add Datasource.
- A data source connection detail form will appear.
Step 4: Enter Details
- Enter a Data Source Name
- This is a friendly name (e.g., Salesforce_Production, Finance_Excel_Data)
- Select the Data Source Type from the list:
- Excel
- Smartsheet
- Tally
- Databricks
- JIRA
- Salesforce
- (Others may appear depending on your system configuration)
Step 5: Enter Connection Details (By Source Type)
Enter Required Connection Details based on selected Data Source Type
Some fields may appear for multiple data sources:
- Host Name: Server or service URL
- HTTPS Path: API or SQL endpoint
- Database Name: Logical data container
- Authentication Method:
- Username/Password
- API Token
- OAuth 2.0
- Port Number (if applicable)
Step 6: Review and Confirm
- Review all Information.
- Click Save/Add to save
- Click Cancel if you do not want to proceed
Step 7: Add Data
- Click Save Datasource
- The new Datasource will appear in the Datasource management list.
